VP/GM of Digital Strategy at Oracle Data Cloud, Formerly SVP/GM of Digital Services at Datalogix, Joins the Global Leader in Real-time TV Data
SAN FRANCISCO–March 23, 2017–Samba TV, the world’s leading provider of essential television insights, today announced that Christopher Scoggins, a senior executive at Oracle Data Cloud, has joined its Board of Directors.
“Chris is well known in our industry for his strategic thinking and data-driven decision-making. His experience building one of the largest programmatic data and attribution platforms offers our Board a perspective that will help greatly accelerate our current growth across key markets worldwide,” says Ashwin Navin, CEO of Samba TV.
“The convergence of television and online video is one of the biggest themes in media today, yet it remains hampered by arcane measurement and limited analytics tools that create inefficiency for publishers and advertisers. With Samba TV, I see the potential to transform an industry with a cross-screen data platform that in many ways reminds me of the impact Datalogix had on the digital media industry during the rise of programmatic advertising,” says Scoggins.
For the last two years, Scoggins has managed global revenues, partnerships and strategy for Oracle Data Cloud, which he joined after Oracle acquired Datalogix in December 2014. He has also served as a Partner with Sequel Venture Partners, most recently on the board of directors of Yieldex, which was acquired by Appnexus in 2015.
In addition to taking a board seat, Scoggins personally invested in Samba TV and joins Samba TV’s existing investors August Capital, Mark Cuban and others.
